Praise and Worship
Music is more than a song; it is the foundation of our worship. Worship is more than a thought or praise; it requires active participants. Worship is the very essence of communication and relationship with God. A church is much more than a place to visit on Sundays; it is the dwelling place of Jehovah. God Almighty has chosen to make His residence within each of us; and therefore, we are the church!
In Old Testament days singers and musicians led the children of Israel into battle and ushered them into sacred worship of Yahweh. Today, through the ministry of music, the church, the Body of Christ, experiences the victory of the battle as well as the intimate worship of our Most High God. When the Body begins to worship in one accord, the Lord moves; often manifesting Himself in healing, deliverance, salvation, and many other ways. There is more to HIM and to HIS WORSHIP!
I have seen God use anointed music to make the hardest heart tender, to soothe the troubled mind, and to speak to a wayward soul. That is the power of the music ministry that is wholly dedicated to God.
“Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, AND THE GLORY OF THE LORD FILLED THE HOUSE” (2 Chronicles 7:1). As I stand to minister in song each week, I pray that this will be the sole purpose and passion for His church.
I am very excited about the Praise and Worship Ministry in our church. I challenge you to be a broken vessel from which the anointing will flow, and the hurting masses in our city will be able to catch a glimpse of a house filled with His Glory!
Yours With A Passion For Him,
Pastor Carlos M. González
